Our Story
From a small start-up in Jamie's spare room, to working on with some of the biggest names in Scotland, it's fair to say we've grown a little
Scotland, and Glasgow in particular, is home to a talented creative workforce, and at Squinty Pixels we are proud to be a part of this community. Since starting the business in his spare room, our Founder Jamie Steel has brought together a team of creatives that have created some big impact projects for our clients.
From flying under the Swilcan bridge at St Andrews, the Old Man of Storr in Skye, to construction projects a stonethrow away from Heathrow Airport, we have built up a hard earned reputation for our professionalism and quality.

Meet The Team
Jamie Steel
Founder and Resident 'Drone Guy'
Squinty Pixels is the brainchild of Jamie Steel, launched in 2020 from his bedroom with nothing but a humble home computer and a big idea.
Jamie has a degree in Computer Animation from UWS and spent over a decade in the corporate world, working in in-house creative marketing across the manufacturing and construction industries. A slightly bizarre mix of scheme boy and serious nerd, he’s never been one for office small talk or pointless rules. Instead, Jamie set out to do things differently — building honest, straightforward working relationships that grow with our clients.
As a dad of 3 kids, Jamie doesn't get the hours to game that he sorely complains about. A big fan of the Star Wars and anything involving space ships, dragons or lightsabres, this aging dog has swapped the gaming mouse for the soft play and family walks. A big fan of the outdoors, his ambition is to bag all 226, with over 100 conquered so far.

Rory Moore
Joining us fresh in 2025, Rory has a strong background in design and animation, studying the same course as Jamie at UWS 15 years later. When Jamie seen his work, it didn't take long before he was wearing his Squinty Pixels hoodie! Often onsite filming and creating engaging video edits, Rory is a keen Ice Hockey

Shannon Loughlin
Another graduate of UWS, Shannon has just completed Events Management and Marketing with a First Class Honours. Pours a mean pint and a fantastic coffee, Shannon has hung up the apron to begin her journey in the world of Marketing and content. Our wee queen of words and socials, Shannon is a keen horse rider, spending 5 years instructing horse riding at Camp America.

Taylor Stevenson
Since the turn of 2024, Taylor Stevenson has brought his versatility in video, editing to the Squinty Pixels. Specialising in cinematic filming and colour grading, Taylor can take help make your business look like a Hollywood masterpiece!
